A Matter of Perspective: A Philosophical and Poetic View of Life, Death, and Relationships is an in depth and uniquely rich text which captures the essence of real life experiences. In this book the author introduces the reader to a series of multiple perspectives regarding views on life, death and how relationships are interpreted through the use of poetic elements. The author uses metaphor and simile to evoke a sense of urgency when comparing the human spirit to a given event in life. By incorporating allusion, alliteration, repetition and rhyme scheme in various poems, the author is able to evoke a sense of tone and mood which emerges from the very pages in the text. The author uses a series of explanations to provide a basis for each poem. The author's interpretation of life, death and relationships is premise of this book and provides a fundamental purity to the purpose for each excerpt. According to the author, the concept of poetry or poetic effect is not centered solely on rhyming. Poetry is based on purpose and meaning. There is an obvious message in which the author wants to convey to help the reader appreciate the context of each of the three sections in the book: life, death, and relationships and how each of these aforementioned elements are intertwined.
