This book is, without doubt, an adult book. It contains graphic descriptive passages about sex, drug abuse, and alcohol abuse. It also defies convention as the first chapter is written in the third person and the other four in the first person. It is based on the experiences of the author who drank alcoholically from the age of 17 for 21 years and how he ended up with nothing but the clothes he had on. It deals laterally with his recovery. No matter how strange they may seem, most of the incidents are based on true events in the author's addictive life. It is funny, tragic, horrific and sensational. It is readable as an adult novel purely for entertainment. But it also may help anyone who may think they have an addiction. Also anyone who is living with somebody with an addiction - family member or a friend. It is not for the faint hearted and could be uncomfortable reading for some people. It is in five chapters. Each chapter is almost a story on its own but they are all connected by the recurring characters who are interwoven throughout all five. It is highly likely that many avid readers, after reading "ADDICTION," will say: "I've never read anything like that before!"
