Ailton Krenak (Itabirinha, Minas Gerais, 1953) es un líder indígena, filósofo, ambientalista y escritor brasileño, miembro del pueblo Krenak. Figura clave en la defensa de los derechos indígenas en Brasil, participó activamente en la Asamblea Constituyente de 1988 y fundó organizaciones como la Unión de Naciones Indígenas y la Alianza de los Pueblos de la Selva. En 2023, se convirtió en el primer indígena en integrar la Academia Brasileña de Letras, ocupando la silla número 5 .
