Conversations among friends, the media, and social networks have frequently mentioned the term bullying. Many people say they have been victims of bullying and constantly suffer from their past. But after all, what is bullying? How can it be assessed? What types of interventions can be made to reduce this type of violence? In addition to these, there are other unanswered questions: 1) What is the origin of bullying? 2) At what age or gender is it most common? 3) Does it only happen at school? 4) How can this phenomenon be observed? This work answers some of these questions and opens the door to others: Are individual differences sufficient to explain the origin and continuation of this type of behavior? Is it possible to directly measure such behavior?
