Reseña del libro "Belle of the Forest (en Inglés)"
Early 1920s Scotland. Enter the rural atmosphere of the village of Glenry with its endearing characters, its friendships and family ties, its laird and manor house, its nearby forest and hills . . . and its suspense, mystery and adventure! A girl called Belle and close friend Beth befriend a lad called Will who has arrived in Glenry seeking his unknown birth parents. After fierce storms, the laird's flock of sheep are missing. Will's search for them in the hills leads to a serious accident. A suspenseful account is given of the unusual kidnapping of Will, his captivity, and his subsequent escape. It is a mystery who and why someone is against him. Local policemen trace the clues, with an astonishing result. Old Aggie, who lives in the attic of the manor house, confides to Belle a decades-old family secret, which has great relevance and big implications. At the manor, Belle is held in suspicion of stealing jewelry belonging to the Laird's daughter, but a storm clears her name! Belle and Will's friendship blossoms into something deeper. Belle discovers letters revealing she has a grandmother and family on the Isle of Lewis whom she has never met. Belle and Beth have the big adventure of travelling and holidaying in the grandmother's coastal mansion. Throughout the years romance builds. All mystery is resolved. The practical Christian faith of Belle and friends and family flows throughout the story.
