The series of Guides to Wines and Top Vineyards covers wine-producing regions wordwide and profile the top producers. This guide discusses the Left Bank of Bordeaux, from the Médoc (including Margaux, St. Julien, Pauillac, and St. Estèphe), to Péssac-Leognan and Graves, and Sauternes (and Barsac).

Each estate profile describes the producer's aims for his wines, and the personality and philosophy behind them. Reference wines are suggested for leading producers. Producer details include essential information for planning a visit.
