Gracie Thies returns to action in the sequel to "Killer Lead" as she explores the possibility of opening a specialty coffee shop in downtown Alpine, Alabama. Staying in Alpine will allow her to spend time with her grandmother, and continue her rekindled relationship with her high school sweetheart. Unfortunately, Gracie's plans have to go on hold when the body of a fellow bridge player is found in her future shop shortly after she had an argument with him at the Alpine Duplicate Bridge Club. The plans for "Gracie's Grounds" may go up in steam before renovations even begin unless Gracie can clear her name, get construction progressing, convince others in the town to support her business, play bridge, and in the process, hopefully find a murderer.
