Ivan Ovcaricek-Rostok was born in Croatia and attended the University in Zagreb to obtain both his master's and doctor of science degree in economics. He worked as an economic analyst and later as manager of economic and technical services for a large industrial company. He also served as a factory director and assistant to a principal director for economy for a large joint company. The author has written and published forty-five professional and scientific papers in the field of economics and has attended professional study tours to London, Moscow, Paris, Munich, and Stockholm.
