Enid Blyton (1897–1968) is renowned as one of the most popular and successful authors of all time, having written well over 700 books during her career. Among her most successful works are The Adventure Series, the Noddy series for young children, The Secret Seven and The Famous Five, which focused on the adventures of five friends – Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy the dog. The Famous Five would prove so popular that Blyton would write 21 full-length books in the series, beginning in 1942 with Five on a Treasure Island and ending with 1963’s Five are Together Again. This calendar showcases the original artwork from the books. To this day, the series continues its success across various film and television adaptations.
