How has Europe evolved since the end of the Cold War? Has this period really led to the emergence of a new political space? How has the European Union changed with the integration of new members from Central and Eastern Europe? And to what degree has Europe changed in the eyes of Europeans as a consequence of these events? These are some of the important questions addressed in this work, which takes a deep and incisive look at Europe's transformation over the last two decades. The book follows the proceedings of a conference of the same name, organised in October 2010 by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and the Pierre du Bois Foundation for Current History. Comment l'Europe a-t-elle évolué depuis la fin de la guerre froide ? Cette période a-t-elle été véritablement fondatrice d'un espace politique nouveau ? En quoi l'Union européenne s'est-elle transformée suite à l'intégration des pays d'Europe centrale et orientale ? Et dans quelle mesure l'Europe a-t-elle changé aux yeux des Européens à la suite de ces événements ? Telles sont quelques-unes des questions traitées dans cet ouvrage, qui porte un regard riche et diversifié sur les transformations de l'Europe durant les deux dernières décennies. Cet ouvrage collectif fait suite à une conférence homonyme organisée en octobre 2010 à Genève par l'Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement ainsi que par la Fondation Pierre du Bois pour l'histoire du temps présent.
