Reseña del libro "Fake Christians: The Wolves in Sheep's Clothing Who Are Imperiling American Democracy (en Inglés)"

The hypocrisy of the Christian Nationalist Movement is examined from the perspective of a former Catholic school girl who saved her diaries. She details the emotional and physical abuse of children by self-professed "holy" people who didn't practice what they preached. In fact, their actions were quite the opposite. The comparisons to today's so-called Christians, and their unholy words and actions, including their racism, anti-LGBTQ, anti-women's rights, anti-immigrant, and pro-NRA views are examined. The book chronicles the modern-day culture wars, offers advice for dealing with these hypocrites, and suggests ways to get involved with causes that promote equality and human rights. Patti is a retired elementary school teacher and self-proclaimed hippie. She holds a bachelor's degree in education from Penn State University and a master's degree in Gifted Education from George Mason University. Born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in the nearby suburbs, she now lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband and three dogs. She enjoys writing, reading, going to shows and concerts, hanging out with her two grandsons, and standing up for what's right. She has previously written and published stories for children's magazines."The book skillfully exposes the hypocrisy and danger posed by the Christian nationalist movement and how it undermines both the nation and Christianity itself. Best of all, the book provides a path forward, one that combines the author's personal experience and her idealism about how to improve our country and our spiritual lives with a more positive vision of the future. A really good read."-Chaitanya Komanduri"A well written, easy to read discussion of the impact of Christian teaching on children in schools years back, drawing parallels to modern Christian impact on our lives and government in the US. Ms. Potter draws a parallel that shows the deep differences between the public "persona" of different Christian organizations and the real impact and struggles that result from their influence on individuals and society in general. Highly recommended!!!"-Charles Parkinson
