Reseña del libro "Fake News Stories (en Inglés)"

Not a day goes by that we are not lied to by the media, a politician, or some other shyster. Newspaper and TV reporters in particular will write and say anything to get our attention and their advertiser's dollars. They twist and exaggerate the news and still expect us to take them seriously. Well, no more. Our defense to this packaged baloney is to let them know we are wise to their tricks by beating them at their own game! And I shall lead the way with this Special Media Edition of Fake News Stories. Part One: FAKE NEWS. How many times have you heard some cocamamie news story that strains your credulity to the limit? You know the ones I'm talking about: where 80-year old geezers supposedly climbed Mt. Everest without oxygen, a grandma swam the English Channel without a shark cage, and where a cyclist supposedly won the Tour de France seven times without cheating. And what about all those snot-nosed kids who allegedly sailed around the world all by themselves? Folks, a healthy dose of skepticism is in order. Most of these fantastic stories turn out to be gross exaggerations or outright frauds. All I know is I can't take it anymore. I say it's time we show these attention-starved scamsters and their media toadies a thing or two by inventing our own outrageous FAKE NEWS stories. After all, if you're going to lie like a snake, you might as well do it with style and panache. Part Two: MISLEADING HEADLINES. Another thing that ticks me off is those misleading headlines that newspaper reporters write to trick us into reading some trivial story not worth two cents. TV is even worse. Notice how they announce a spectacular story and then make you wade through 30 minutes of weather, sports, commercials, and everything else before they finally get to the story. They make you teeter on your seat, perhaps while your dinner is getting cold, while you wait for the "big story." That's when you find out it's the same trick newspapers pull with their trivial stories. I don't know about you but I'm fed up with it. I say it's time to put them in their place with a little one-upsmanship! Let's see those clowns top THESE tricky headlines and stories! 103 B&W illustrations. ADULT COLORING BOOK for ages 8 to adult. Great for stress relief.
