Passed down through the generations of the Gable family is the ability to create the element of fire through sheer will and desire. After a long life and a fairly peaceful death, she finds herself a ghost trapped in the confines of her hometown of Eversburg. In the strange environs of the Ghost World, she struggles to understand her new form and purpose along with the other souls who haunt the town. Compounding her uncertain fate is the fact that the fire is still a part of her. Her ability to regulate her gift is as vague as when she was living, and she now has a host of other issues beyond her grasp. She doesn't have command over how and when she can move objects in the living world. She can't interact with her granddaughter Reese to assist her in managing the fire gene that she has inherited. Most importantly, she doesn't have the power to dissuade her former husband Merle from his growing affection for the town harlot.
