It begins with an introduction into T the electromagnetic variables in rotatory and stationary reference frames. Electric machines are covered in chapters 2 and 3, focusing on the analysis of the dc, round-rotor permanent-magnet ac, and induction machines. Power electronics are also discussed in chapter 4. The dc, the brushless dc, and the induction motor drives are each covered in chapter 5. The synchronous generator and several other aspects of electric power system engineering are covered in chapter 6. With this book the reader can learn to describe the behavior of the electromagnetic variables and how to approach their control with modern power converters.
