Intrigue, suspense and romance will find Monica Devore when the CEO of a large Marketing Research firm hires her to be his personal office assistant. After her long term marriage dissolves via a tumultuous divorce, Monica desperately tries to adjust to her new single status as best she can. She doens't know that her new boss, Roy Hiyashi, also known as The Shogun, is suspected of having ties to the Yakuza. It is rumored that Hiyashi's Sr. Vice President and close friend, Wesley Chang, aka Mr. Untouchable has a mysterious past and is the reason why he doesn't socialize with the staff or accept any enticing invites from attractive females who are anxious to date the handsome bachelor. Monica and her new boss start her first day on the job in a negative way when Hiyashi divulges that he had to hire her to fill a minority quota within his company. It becomes obvious that he prefers Asian assistants when he also candidly tells Monica he's never hired a 'round-eye' as a personal assistant in the past. Wesley Chang is impressed with Monica's tenacity and determines to keep her on board at any cost. Hiyashi also has a reputation of not keeping his personal assistants on board for any significant length of time, so much so, that an office pool is secretly instigated on behalf of Monica to see how long she will last on the job. Through the ensuing months, Monica will fall in love with Wesley Chang, who has mentored her along the way. She chalks it up to a girlish crush and keeps it to herself. After all, who would want a middle age woman when they could have the 'pick of the litter' among all the Oriental available beauties on staff. Wesley, who is basically a loner, will begin having strong feelings towards Monica but is reluctant to let his guard down, afraid Monica may reject him. A high speed car chase while accompanying her boss to a business appointment will pull her into a vortex of adventures she never imagined. The obstacles will be many, as Hiyashi eventually trusts Monica with secrets no one else knows. Monica and Wesley Chang will be sent on an overseas trip to the United Arab Emirates and their experiences there will again come to an unforgettable climax as each finally divulges their feelings for one another. But wait! Just as Monica is flying on cloud nine with her new found love, he suddenly dissappears, causing Monica to think perhaps Wesley is involved with Hiyashi's shady acquaintances. Will love endure?
