Land of Lilybug: Where Dreams Come True is a book of dreams. Although these appear as fictional accounts, they are as real as 'factual' can get, embellished for the book, but full of wandering facts and a deep love of cats. Consider the accountings as true life adventures of two people in search of the spectacular. These animal tales will always be remembered as the days and nights of the cat paws, giving us a moment to peruse special friends who live in far off lands of intrigue and great beauty. You won't find any Felidae, the scientific name of the biological family whose most familiar member is the domestic cat. These highly evolved predators are as beautiful as they are fascinating - did you know, for example, that almost all members of this carnivorous family share an inborn glitch that prevents them from tasting sweetness? So these fifteen short stories deal with some of nature's deepest secrets, specializing on little-known cat species which wander the earth in search of prey and peace. None of these are your common housecat nor are any the well-known big cats. These felines are somewhere in between - all wild, all lesser knowns, all gorgeous and none answer to "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty!"
