As part of a series, Paranormal Encounters: Hanging Around (Volume 5) is a 300 page book that contains a variety of interesting paranormal stories (fiction and non-fiction). It also contains a bonus chapter on debunking encounters. The author, Dr. Kelly Renee Schutz, is not a psychic but a sensitive intuitive, who has encountered several unexplained paranormal situations over the past several years and to date, continues to interact with and analyze paranormal situations. Dr. Schutz travels the world staying at haunted locations in an attempt to seek out, experience, and explain paranormal events. Dr. Schutz has written a number of illustrated books on her personal experiences with the paranormal and in Volume 5, shares a variety of stories to aid the reader in understanding hauntings. In Book 4, Paranormal Encounters: Defying Naturalism, it shares 16 topics discussing dreams, hauntings, demons, ghost animals, portals, moon phases, psychics, spectral sites, and more.
