Reseña del libro "Right Hand Magic (en Inglés)"

The weirdest neighborhood in the Big Apple, "Golgotham . . . feels inhabited by real unreal people and places, and the whole book is just a joy to read" (Simon R. Green, New York Times-bestselling author)Imagine the Manhattan of a few centuries ago, except its streets teem with witches, fairy-folk, and monsters. That's Golgotham today, where human tourists are welcome to visit, but not linger. Outsiders tend to bring gentrification, and the neighborhood's supernatural residents like things just the way they are, and have always been. But Tate needs a fresh start--and a cheap apartment--where she can live and create her metal sculptures. And if that means living in Manhattan's otherworldly neighborhood, she doesn't care that her oh-so-posh family will be scandalized. Especially when she sees her gorgeous new landlord.Hexe is not your average Kymeran. Sure, he has the colorful hair and cat-like eyes, but unlike others of his kind, he's determined to make a living using only positive Right Hand magic. That means he'll remove curses but won't cast them. Although he'd make more money using both Left and Right Hands, he supplements his income renting out rooms in his ancestral home, even to humans. Tate is settling in nicely, until the night she's attacked by a were-cougar in the backyard. The shapeshifter turns out to be a scared and injured teenager who was kidnapped by the local crime syndicate to fight in the pits. As Tate and Hexe team up to help him, they're drawn into the darkest and most violent corners of Golgotham, where life is cheap and love might be the most powerful curse of all . . ."A very well done portrayal of a strange neighborhood amid our all-too-mundane reality." --SFRevu
