However, these stories and their morals are meant to be more entertaining than moralistic. In addition, a number of these fables prompted delightful cartoon drawings by this book's outstanding artist, Joseph Kowal. A flip of the toga must go, not only to Aesop, but to those who forwarded potential subjects for possible conversion into fables. Finally, the author's son remarked, this is a book which belongs in everybody's bathroom.
