The adventures of Boo. What is autism? (en Inglés) - Amaya Edwards

Hello I am Amaya and this book is about me and my support dog Boo. Come with us why we go on an adventure to learn about hedgehogs.

First let me tell you about myself:

I am 11 years old and have Autism, I struggle with the world around me. I am home schooled as I couldn't cope with the school environment. I have a support dog named Boo. She helps me to be able to cope in the world.

I am very passionate about marine life and want to be a marine biologist when I grow up. I go on beach clean ups most days. So I see what people leave and do to sea creatures e.g hurting jellyfish that are beached on the sand. I have had a save the beach poster made into postcards on sale at sealife with the money being donated to them.

I wanted to make this book to teach everyone about autism and how amazing it is. I also wanted to write it so that children with autism know they are not alone and to try help them understand autism more. I also wanted to write it to spread awareness of autism so that more people understand and know about it.

This book is book nine in the adventure of boo series each one Boo goes on a different adventure.

I love the work Caudwell Children Centre do to help children with autism and their families. I will be donating 10% of the sale off this book to them.
