This is the seventh book in the eight-book series. Ambassador Micha Lawrence has finally retired. She's packing up her apartment and not sure what's next. President Smbarak has called Sentar about Daniel some issues with his behavior. Sentar arrives a little early. He asks Micha to marry him. She says yes. Their friends are overjoyed. Naturally, Galen will be Sentar's best man. Maru and B'ani arrive to help Micha get ready. Beth comes back from the Library at Nareem to join the wedding party.
