Mainly oriented towards Europe for colonial reasons or geographical proximity, the movement of people from Africa to North America has been on the increase since the 2000-2010 decade. More than 60 years after independence, many African leaders are still struggling to pull their countries out of underdevelopment. Unfortunately, this situation leads to a state of malaise among citizens, who are the first victims of bad governance, corruption, favoritism, interference by foreign powers, poverty, underemployment, unemployment and so on. These factors, also known as repulsive factors, are at the root of the mass exodus of Africans to Canada, a country which, on the contrary, exerts a strong attraction on them. Over time, this rich and prosperous nation has become a small global village, as it is the dream country of many of the world's migrants. It boasts a number of natural, political and socio-economic assets that make it such a popular destination.
