And one of the most important matters for a man to understand thoroughly is the nature of the Church, its origin, its powers, its work, and our duty towards it. Now that is what this little book seems to me to make quite clear, and in a way easily understood by the ordinary boy or girl. The happy comparison of the Church with other societies which they know well must bring home to them in a vivid manner the chief things which they ought to know about it, and will help to lay a good foundation for their future life.
