They have a daughter who's deserted them to become a rebellious movie star, another who hates them and uses them only as a babysitter, another who's brilliant in school but battles alcohol to forget (what they're not sure), and a college age son who instead of going to college invents weird stuff in the basement. Even for all this, they've managed to find a sort of equilibrium - until the movie star daughter comes home to specifically to stir things up. Will this family survive? Will they even want to?
