Steven Erikson (Toronto, Canadá, 7 de octubre de 1959), seudónimo de Steve Rune Lundin, es un novelista canadiense con formación en arqueología y antropología. Graduado del Iowa Writers' Workshop, integró su mirada académica en la creación de mundos y culturas complejas, lo que distingue su obra dentro de la fantasía épica. Es internacionalmente reconocido por la decalogía Malaz: El Libro de los Caídos (Malazan Book of the Fallen), iniciada en 1999 con Gardens of the Moon y concluida en 2011 con The Crippled God, que ha vendido más de 3 millones de ejemplares y es considerada por la crítica como una de las sagas más influyentes desde las Crónicas de Thomas Covenant de Donaldson, marcando un hito en la literatura fantástica por su ambición, estructura y profundidad temática.
