Walking the sand dunes on the outer arm of Cape Cod, in Truro, Massachusetts, only two people saw the saucer-like spaceship crash. And they discovered an awesome message that the UFO left behind! HELP! This bundle of observation notes is a copy of my monthly shipboard Diary. You must use it to help this planet you call Earth avoid annihilation. For the record, I have been here in orbit around your planet for over two years (local time) monitoring its environmental deterioration, out-of-control population increases, and the proliferation of bigotry, hatreds, homophobic bias, greed, control freaks, and unprovable absolutes. My purpose was to find some redeeming value in this planet, or destroy it lest it contaminate other worlds. Today I was given an order to exterminate all human life on your Earthly world, and return home immediately. For personal reasons I cannot bring myself to do so, and have devised an alternative plan of action. BUT YOU MUST HEED THIS DIRE WARNING: if those living on the planet Earth do not swiftly abandon their hostile personal tendencies and negative environmental inclinations, my people from the truly civilized worlds will indubitably send another spaceship to destroy it. For humanity's sake, please do everything within your power to bring about true freedom, equality, and peace-loving ecological sense to the people of this planet. May all the gods bless you!
