THROUGH MY EYES: A LOOK AT THE HISTORY OF LANCASTER FROM A BLACK PERSPECTIVE by Hollie Saunders offers an engaging chronicle of the author's southeastern Ohio hometown. She takes her readers on an enlightening journey that moves beyond a family history, extending from the earliest settling of the town, through the late 50s and turbulent 60s up to the present. At the heart of her book is the historical account of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, which was such an integral part of the author's background.
