Reseña del libro "Thunder, Ice & Trickery (en Inglés)"
Before the world existed, there was ice. There was fire. And in between, a great yawning nothing. Your guide is Huginn, one of Odin's two ravens. His name means "Thought," he has been flying over the Nine Worlds for more than a thousand years, and he has opinions about everything he's seen. Climb the branches of Yggdrasil, the World Tree, and dodge the gossiping squirrel who carries insults between an eagle and a dragon. Stand beside Odin as he trades his eye for wisdom. Watch Thor squeeze into a wedding dress to get his stolen hammer back. Find out how Loki talked his way out of losing his head, and how he became the mother of an eight-legged horse. Then follow the story into its darkest hours: the death of Baldur, the most beloved of the gods, and Ragnarök, the final battle at the end of the world. And discover what rises from the ashes afterward. Along the way, you'll learn the real history behind the myths: Viking runestones, ship burials, and the single fragile book that almost lost these stories forever. You'll also see how the gods still hide in our days of the week, our words, and our favorite movies. And chapter by chapter, you'll learn all 24 runes of the ancient Elder Futhark alphabet. Packed with quizzes, "Myth vs. Marvel" comparisons, and hidden secrets, Thunder, Ice & Trickery is a funny, thrilling, and surprisingly moving journey through Norse mythology for curious readers of all ages, from eleven to a hundred and eleven. The gods are waiting, and so is the end of the world. Grab your copy of Thunder, Ice & Trickery today and find out who survives Ragnarök.
