UNBALANCED SCALES VOL.1 for VIOLIN in TWO OCTAVES includes all of the major and harmonic minor scales organized in 5/8 time signature. The scales are notated as linear scales, arpeggios and broken thirds. They are notated in Even 5, 2+3 subdivision and 3+2 subdivision. The subdivisions are notated as both physical (subdivided as eighth notes) and mental (quarter, dotted quarter) subdivisions. Designed to build muscle memory and counting in unbalanced subdivisions and playing in 5-note meters.
