The mother dies within a few hours. Her dying wish is that her daughter Nihill be returned to her island. This story describes a child, Walawua, born to Nihil. She attempts to trace her and her mother's heritage. In that struggle Walawua meets persons who build missiles, persons who fund the production of missiles, persons who have lost their homes as a result of missiles and war.The short story describes her journey seeking persons who have contributed to her history and heritage. Despite all the troubles she encounters she is able to broaden her understanding of herself and all those who have contributed to her history an heritage.
