Sally Wern Comport es una ilustradora y artista estadounidense reconocida por su versatilidad en libros infantiles, arte público y diseño gráfico. Comenzó su carrera profesional a los 16 años como artista en la agencia publicitaria de su padre. Estudió en la Columbus College of Art and Design y obtuvo su maestría en Syracuse University. En 1986 cofundó W/C Studio Inc., trabajando con clientes como American Express y Microsoft. En 2003 fundó Art at Large, Inc., un estudio especializado en soluciones artísticas a gran escala para espacios interiores y exteriores .

Su obra abarca desde libros ilustrados como Love Will See You Through y Ada’s Violin, hasta murales públicos y exposiciones en instituciones como Mount Vernon y el Museo de Historia de Maryland .
