When her thirteen-year old son, Scotty, was diagnosed with a deadly cancer, she found herself balancing the challenges of a budding career, a contentious divorce, bankruptcy, and the demands of raising four active children. Her son's death drew a line through her soul, but she eventually saw that it is the countless little miracles, woven seamlessly through our lives, that ultimately turn paths of hardship and loss into rivers of hope and survival.
