Reseña del libro "House of the Red Rosebush: A Clockwork Play (en Inglés)"

'The House of the Red Rosebush', is a theater-play, essentially a tragedy. In a nice day of 1976's Southern Autumn, arrives to the residence of the wealthy Gonzaga family -in Santiago de Chile- a veiled agent of the Chilean Gestapo. His purpose is to discover the location of Mané's father, a girl who is a close friend of Andrea, the youngest child of this family. Mané's father was one of the nearest friends and even bodyguard of the late Chilean President Salvador Allende. But, his real motive for breaking into this wealthy and almost patrician family, is completely different. When he revealed it, it produces a tragic downfall inside this family, downfall which changes the destiny of each and every one, for good. Marcelo Vicente, born Marcelo Vicente Retamal Galaz in Santiago de Chile in December 1953, is a Chilean-Swedish Psychologist expert in Multiculturalism, Human Rights, and Criminal behavior, graduated initially with honors, at the University of Chile, in December 1979 and then at the University of Stockholm, in 1990. In Sweden, he also received certification in Psychology from the Swedish Government in 1992, after completing an internship requested by the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs at the Psychosocial Office for Immigrants, City of Gothenburg. In this place he deepens his training in the fields of Intercultural Psychology and Human Rights, cooperating between 1991-1993 with the Transcultural Institute, which was directed by the French psychologist David Benelbaz. In addition, he was methodologist for the research presented by Dr. Benelbaz at the Human Rights Congress held in Chile at the beginning of the 90's, and some symposiums later. It should be noted that the Gothenburg Transcultural Institute, in turn, was an external supervisor of the Chilean Program for Restitution in Human Rights during 1991-1994, being officially recognized as such by the Chilean Ministry of Health, in 1992. Marcelo Vicente was also a member of the supervisory team. In 1995, the City of Malmö granted Marcelo Vicente the position of supervisor and evaluator of the Refugee Family Assistance Program for Bosnia-Herzegovina War's refugees. Located in Rosengård's School, at the south of this city, he directed the significant duty of serving and containing about 200 refugee families from Sarajevo. Between 1989 and 1996, year of his return to Chile, the author was also an active volunteer in organizations related to Human Rights, such as the Red Cross, the International Meeting Point for Refugees, the Association of Latin American Intellectuals, Emaus Björke's Solidarity Association with the 3rd World, the Support Association for HIV+ Patients, the Support Committee for the Mapuche People (Chilean Native People), Copacabana Radio, both in Gothenburg and in Malmö. Scholastically, he has worked as a professor and researcher at the Department of Psychology of the University of Chile (1986-1999), at the extension division of the University of Gothenburg -also known as Folkuniversitet- (1991-1992), at the School of Psychology of University of Santiago of Chile (1997-1999), and at the School of Psychology of Diego Portales University (1997-2009), among other institutions of higher education. At the date of release and publication of the Spanish version of 'Anatomy of a Terrorist' at Amazon.com last March the 26th, Marcelo Vicente was still an unpublished writer in the literary field, despite his numerous credited publications in the field of the Human Sciences and Education.
