Reseña del libro "The Moaning of Loaf (en Inglés)"

This story revolves around Nobby Loaf, a sad loner whose life is little more than a series of accidents and mishaps just waiting to occur in his presence. It follows him in a strange adventure that only some one of his ilk could even begin to imagine themselves in. The story begins with Nobby pondering his own existence and his complete lack of friends, except for his dog, Rambo. Although truth be told, Rambo didn’t like him either. Nothing was as it seemed, the world outside had recently changed, and only Nobby and Rambo knew, although in all honesty Rambo didn’t care about it anyway. From being mauled by unseen assailants in darkened bedrooms, to being accused of rape, from exploding homebrew to destroying the planet, suicidal pets and having most of his left buttock bitten off by his dog, all these were just recent parts of Nobby’s life. With his dog Rambo, Nobby is thrust head first in to a weird series of events that includes being kidnapped, not by terrorists or some other type of fanatical group or individual, but by dolphins! Or at least, the descendants of dolphins from the distant future. Both Nobby and Rambo find themselves the “guests” of these “Dolphoids” as they like to be known, on board a vessel which is silently and undectectedly orbiting the Earth. Bill, the main Dolphoid, explains to Nobby that they are friendly and only wish to ask question about the human race, which he cheerfully divulges has long since been extinct as far as the Dolphoids are concerned. The Earth, it seems, is just one of several mass produced planets dotted around the universe, each one practically identical to the next, only at varying stages of development. Given the ability to communicate, Rambo falls in love with a female Dolphoid, and tries his best to frottage her leg. In the mean time, Nobby manages to completely destroy the planet Earth, although for once he isn’t completely to blame for this mishap. Dark politics and espionage play a under lying role as Nobby tries to prove his innocence and avoid an automatic death sentence. Enraged that he may never have sex with a bitch of his own species, Rambo decides to extract revenge on Nobby at the first available opportunity. It is up to Nobby and Bill, to prove Nobbys innocence and try to find the real culprit and also find a way to repair the damage done. It is a situation that all parties find themselves confused and fearing for the future. Things are not helped when a high ranking dignitary is ejected from an airlock with his pants down. At a preliminary hearing, Nobby has a large chunk of his buttock removed by an aggrieved Rambo. Fortunately this delay gives Bill and Nobby the opportunity to identify and track down the real villain. Rambo inadvertently saves Nobby life, whilst almost losing his own, thus allowing Nobby to set an intricate trap to capture to real culprit. Villain captured and Nobby exonerated the puzzle is now how to put things back to how they were. Fortunately, for them, help is at hand.. NOTA: El libro no está en español, sino en inglés.
