The voices convince her that she must kill her father and tell her that the only way to save the world is by cutting off her own hand. Thankfully she is hospitalized before she can harm anyone else or herself. She then begins the long and rocky path towards wholeness. With a diagnosis of Bipolar I, she bravely recovers from both her mental illness and alcoholism and winds up finding deep faith in Native American ceremonies that completely turn her life around.
